these are a few of my favourite things:

1. My family. Obvious maybe but nonetheless it's true. Whether we're being overly-competitive at Monopoly, exploring new cities on mini-breaks or just all sat eating a roast on a Sunday, I love them more than anything.

2. Marcus. He's what keeps me going. If I'm having a rough time he always knows what to say and when we're together I feel like I never want the days to end.

3. Stripes. I have a slight problem in that I'm far too attracted to striped clothing. So badly in fact that my biology A Level teacher used to comment on it regularly. It's a love which isn't going anywhere fast!

4. Cups of tea. Weirdly, I was never a tea drinker until I started university. These days I barely go a few hours before I'm 'dying for a brew'.

5. Hair dye. I love being blonde. Plain as.

6. Berries. Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries... I just can't get enough of them.

7. The colour blue.

8. Handwritten letters. Call me old-fashioned but there's just something so good about receiving a handwritten letter in the post. Specially if it's a love letter ;)

9. Lazy Sundays. Breakfast in bed, watching sports (football if possible of course), maybe an afternoon stroll if I'm feeling particularly active... bliss.

10. Fresh bedding. Nothing better than snuggling under your freshly washed duvet covers knowing you're going to have an amazing nights sleep.

Today

I feel like I've hit a brick wall.

I'm tired, emotional, stressed and to be honest ready to just give up. Except, I CAN'T just give up. If I do then how am I ever supposed to get anywhere in life? Quitters never win and all that.

So pick up your pen Laura and at least give it a go. Have a little faith in yourself.

On a different note... it's snowing! Glad I'm back inside watching it now than being out there like before because it was SO COLD.  Weather warnings are out all over the UK so hopefully people are staying warm and safe. So typical that it snows during the exam period. Come back in a week or so so I can go sledging!

Here's something laughable...

today I went to yoga.

You may be thinking 'why is that funny!?' Well it's funny because I am SO UNFIT. Oh my goodness it was hilarious. All these cool, flexible men and women, contorting their bodies into some WEIRD-ASS shapes whilst remaining calm, focused and in touch with their 'inner energy' whatever the heck that's supposed to mean...

Yours truly on the hand, struggled to do the beginner versions of the positions, had to sit down at one point because having my head upside down lots made me feel nauseous and rather than feeling centred and relaxed, felt like I looked like a grade A twat.

However, it did feel like a really good work out. Like, IT HURT.

And my quest to one day have a flat tummy continues so I'll be there next week.

Can't wait.

Looking for a new purse...

So I have a purse which I love. However, the bloody thing sets off the alarms at the entrances to loads of my favourite shops and so I'm on the hunt for a new one. I go for large purses with loads of space to put cards because over the past few years I seem to have accumulated millions! I also tend to prefer zip fastenings for some reason, not quite sure why...

Without further ado, here are my top 5 purses in stores at the moment:

1. Art Deco Wrist Purse - Topshop -£20

2. Zip Wallet in 'Asphalt' - Mango - £9.99
3. Yellow Fluro Panel Zip Around Purse - River Island - £15
4. GC Color Game Large Zip Around - Guess - £45
5. Continental Wallet in 'Black and Nickel Grainy Print Leather - Mulberry - £225

I'll probably end up buying the Topshop one, solely because I have a gift card and the strap on it would make it good for if I use it as a mini clutch on a night out! Favourites? Suggestions?

Not doing what you should be.

So here is my list of things which occupy me whilst I should be doing good productive things such as writing an essay due in tomorrow:

1. Pinterest

If you haven't got one, do yourself a giant favour and sign up. I live with 6 girls and we all spend far too much time re-pinnning beautiful houses/food/boys/animals/etc.

2. My Drunk Kitchen

The lovely Hannah gets drunk and cooks. Genius! Also if anyone wants to buy me this shirt I'd love you forever:

Progressive (Black)

3. Jenna Marbles
The second YouTube babe on this list. Brings out hilarious videos every Wednesday and has the two cutest dogs ever.

4. Blogs

Some of my favourites include: Love Taza, The Daybook, The Londoner and The Love List - clicky!

5. Apps

Okay so this only applies to people with iPhones/iPads/iPods but I think there's enough people out there who fit this to warrant me including this. My fave apps at the moment are The Simpsons: Tapped Out, Ruzzle, Sporcle, Instagram, ESPN Goals (yes I love football) and Plague Inc. If you're really bored I suggest going on the App Store charts and downloading a tonne of free ones to try. Passes time rather nicely.

Christmas look-back.

Christmas this year was spent with my lovely boyfriend and his family in the states. It was the first time I'd ever spent Christmas away from home but they made me feel really welcome and I had such a nice time.

I love wrapping presents for some reason! I crack on the Michael Buble Christmas album, grab a hot drink and have such a lovely time!

Christmas Day walk on the beach.

My boyfriend obviously thinks he's starring in Titanic or something...

Savannah, Georgia was beautiful.

No Gingerbread houses at the store lead to a Gingerbread man decorating contest. Guess which one I helped with?

And then back to New York which had the most beautiful snow...

NYE was a good time!
We went up the CN Tower in Toronto.

Enjoying the gift shop a little too much.

View from the top!

Bit of moose love in the airport before the dreaded goodbye!

Although all the festivities have officially come to an end and I'm dreading heading back to school, I can't wait for my next visit!
