I've come a long way...

...since we last met.

In my previous post I talked about all the work I had left to do in order to graduate but I'm sure you'll all be glad to know that I DID IT. I graduated from Newcastle University with a BA Hons in Classical Studies. Get me.

Wanna see a pic?

#ClassOf2014

Aren't we cute!? Newcastle don't do mortar boards so we couldn't due the clichéd 'throwing hat in the air' picture. We did do a 'hoods up' pic though and seemed to set a trend in the process (we were one of the first few graduation ceremonies)...

Clearly mortar boards are overrated!

Since then I've been working hard over the summer, waitressing and now I'm just into the 8th week of my PGCE. Yeah, you heard right, I'm joining the ranks of stressed and flustered teachers.

I do enjoy it though, don't get me wrong.

Hopefully I might get back into blogging a little bit, I used to have all my previous posts hidden because I was attempting to go for the flawless, minimalistic blog look. However, I've realised that that just simply isn't me so hello unedited photos/layout and crap photography in general.

Obviously, now I'm a 'professional', I've been having to build up my collection of work wear and I'll try share with you a few outfits in the next couple of weeks.

I'm also trying to plan some nice things to do over Christmas, possibly a weekend away to a festive European city, so if anyone has any advice please leave me some comment love!

A little story to get me back on the blogging bandwagon.

Yesterday, I was at work as usual (I part-time waitress whilst I'm at uni) and it was a pretty dull day. I served a table of two boys and one girl, perfectly lovely people. I took their bill over to their table and casually asked them what they were doing that evening. The girl replied that they were in Newcastle for a gig and were only staying one night. I asked where they were performing and amazingly, they were supporting Rizzle Kicks. I, of course, told them how awesome that was but I never would have guessed what she would offer next.

"Do you want to come see us?"

"Errr...YES!"

Four hours later, I nervously approach the box office and tell them that I'm on Bang Bang Bang's Guestlist with a +6 and gave them my name.

"Yes, that's fine. Enjoy."

OH MY FRIGGIN DAYS, this is the best thing ever. Things like this just don't happen to me!

So to sum up, I had a top night dancing away to both Bang Bang Bang and Rizzle Kicks with six of my closest friends, discovered a great new artist in the form of Natalie and arrived home at midnight, slightly drunk and stupidly happy.

Life is really really good sometimes.

Lately I've been...

My all time favourite nail varnish, Essie's 'Ballet Slippers'.

Friday night and new shoesies! £12 from Primark, ta very much!

What you feel is what you are and what you are is beautiful.

Worst photo ever but I went to see the Goo Goo Dolls when they played in Newcastle last week and they were amazing. I had such a good time singing along to every song even though I'd lost my voice the night before. Nothing better than hearing the songs you adore live.

Granny at heart.

Apple & Elderflower Room Spray, £4, M&S

I recently have discovered a love of elderflower cordial which led to me picking up this room spray whilst I was in M&S en route to buy Percy Pigs (classy I know). Anyways, it smells divine. Light, fresh and with a good bit of lasting-power. Not bad M&S, not bad.
